Why is Burris making a joke of himself and the Gov. Of Illinois?

He will not be confirmed as Senator. He is embarrassing himself and the Democrats. Then again as a Republican, I’m loving seeing the Democrats embarrassed. 11/06/12 will be here soon. We will take back the White House.

Rupert Murdock is attempting to pay 5 times too much for the Wall Street Journal.. why would a savvy media Tycoon do that?
It make no economic sense… or doesn’t it?
As the owner of Fox.. he has arguably disrupted our sense of Democracy and fairness. We have become Darwinistic in our acceptance of a “winner takes all” approach to leadership…
what can we do about this?

What is the difference between the tempo and the beat in music?

I keep using “beat” and “tempo” interchangeably in when I talk about music but my friend assures me they are different yet he can’t seem to explain how or why they are. I am a self-taught musician so I don’t know about things like this. Can anyone give good examples (possibly analogies) about each of those terms.

okay well I really like the whole scene look, but then again I love preppy too.
Sometimes I’ll be a complete classy prep.. Chanel bag chanel earrings polo shir, mini skirt, and converse.
but other times I’m scene-ish.. Black hurley jacket, black super skinnies bright turquoise tee, vans, and a little bow holding my bangs to the side of my face.

if could be told when you were going to die, would you want to be told? for me it can go both ways. i would want to know when i was going to die so i could say my goodbyes and settle any unfinished business. but knowing you were going to die would be great until night time, when you had no more time left and you know there will be no tomorrow. that’s when i’d want to be oblivous. wake up watch the sunrise, be with my friends, be with my family. live like how i’d want my friends/family to remember me by.

Applying at Hobby Lobby for a part-time job. resume required or not?

So I already have a steady career working in ana office from 7a.m-4p.m. but I am in a position where I need to have a source of additional income and have decided to get a 2nd job. I am going to aply at Hobby Lobby since it is nearby… I am almost 28… do you think I need to bring a resume in with my job application that I have filled out? Most people I have spoken to have given me mixed reviews on whether or not I need to actually include a resume… what do you think?

employment? I’m up to 31 years. Here are a list of jobs I’ve worked during this time: dishwasher, bus boy, waiter, cook, fruit picker, laundry worker at a retirement home, Domino’s pizza delivery, US Army (10 years), unlicensed mental health therapist, and licensed clinical social worker. I’ve go to say, it’s not been that hard for me, but I’ve been willing to do whatever work I was qualified to do.

How do you get a human at Northwest Airlines? Mom has cancer, getting run in circles trying to undo her flight

Mom put a future flight on her credit card, then the Dr. found her cancer was back-aggressively. She is in hospice care, so medicated she cant sit up. Have been trying to undo this flight for three weeks, been bounced to SEVEN diferent phone numbers, where nobody can help. Actually got a response from the email web site “refunds” person, who wanted a letter from her Dr. faxed. We did. Hospice did. No response.
We are running out of time and any suggestions welcome.
This airline has given me and my family one of the worst customer service experiences I can remember.
Mom passed away Sunday, thank you Stuart, but “Skyhigh” thank you and bless you, pushing zero got me a human named Chris - The 1st person in the whole chain that also gave me his last name, and promised he had just issued a waiver and refund.
