Where can I get real information about midlife pregnancy?

I need to be able to show the reality, not the “many more women are having babies in the 40’s and if they can do it so can you hype”. I want to find information about the real risks and dangers - anything to get my husband to understand why this is not something I want to do. I am 45 with a 25 year history of clinical depression. I still ovulate regularly but I was told 5 years ago that my eggs are getting old (whatever that means). That was just based on an FSH and estradiol blood test. Thanks.

Security clearance questions regarding credit history and MEPs/AIT process?

Hello all. I am 30 years old, and have been talking to an Army recruiter lately, after getting news that the Navy would not accept me. I have an OUI on my record from 9 and a half years ago, as well as a few defaults and delinquents on my credit history.

So, here are my questions(and I REALLY appreciate any help, I lurk this board all the time, and most of you are awesome):

Q1. If I got to the point where I was positive about joining, and got my parents to lend me the money to pay off ALL of my debt, would my defaults and delinquencies still affect my security clearance, even though those accounts will at that point be paid in full?

Q2. When exactly will I know what my security clearance is? I have heard stories about people signing up for a certain MOS, going through BCT and AIT, only to find out AFTER AIT that they didn’t get the clearance for that MOS. Is that true? It seems unlikely to me. I don’t see why the Army wouldn’t do their fact checking BEFORE they send you to get trained for a job that they are paying you to get trained for. Also, if and when that does happen to people, then what? Do you then pick another MOS that you qualify for, and go to THAT AIT school, or do THEY pick your ‘new’ MOS for you?

Q3. Based on the information I have provided above, do I stand a chance at getting a SECRET clearance?
