What is the cause of people using the word “Like” so many times, and in so many of their sentences?

Admit it, if you’re American or have been to the US, you have heard people, mainly young adults, or children using this word…in every single sentence they say. Maybe not all of us have heard it, it probably depends on what part of the country you’re from, but esepically places like California and New York. You might speak this way, I sometimes even catch myself using it and I back up and correct myself.
Why do so many feel it is necessary to use this word when they speak. Has it become a habit?

When I’m travelling on a subway or bus and I hear people use the word 50+ times a minute, I want to scream. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. I laugh sometimes too. So what is with this?
Annoying Examples.
“And like, he’s like, going to the movies with me and Claire tonight.”
” And like, I feel so weird, y’know?”
“How does she, like even know that?”
“Can I even like, read?”

How do I get my CamStudio to record from my speakers?

I have CamStudio v2.00 and i can not record from the speakers when i try to record things.
1 CommentWhen I record from my mic, it works just fine but i can never get any sound from the speaker option.
Any help would be awesome and greatly appreciated

What uses less electricity? Two window units or central air in an 1800 sq foot house?

We have an 1800 square foot house. Because of the price of electric my mom doesn’t want to turn the central a/c on. I have compromised with her by putting new window units in two of the upstairs bedrooms (which are the correct btus for the size of the rooms). Which is cheaper (uses less electric)? Running these two window units or our newer central A/C unit?

I have no experience in journalism but I love to write. I was wondering if I maybe should ask my local newspaper if I could write a weekly column for them?
Well the worst thing they could think is that I’m bugging them and also I am not legitimate since I am not on my school newspaper or something?

Where can I find online information on how to file Bankruptcy from Home?

I am filing a chapter 7 bankruptcy and I need to do it from home! Obviously I do not have the money to pay for it through a lawyer so I need to file from home. Where and what is the best web sites for this information? I live in Kentucky, if this helps?
