I don’t have any kids but if I did I wouldn’t allow them to celebrate Halloween, Halloween is not even a holiday to me because kids don’t get time off from school , people don’t get time off from work, Halloween is the devils day to me, what can’t we go out and buy candy for our kids that we know is FRESH RIGHT FROM THE STORE so we don’t have to worry if poison or razors are in the candy and who wants to spend hours checking the candy to see if something is wrong with it, when parents send their kids trick or treating and the person whose house they are over opens the front door they don’t know what that person has they don’t know if they has a gun or any weapn that they can use to commit suicide, this year I am just going to help pass out candy I will do all that I have to do in the day time you know like if I have to run to the store or ice cream store, I will do that before the high school kids start getting out of school, what do you think do you agree with me.

So this girl, “Sally”, and I have been friends for a really long time and we’re very close. She also doesn’t seem to like my best friend, “Meg”, much.

On Halloween, Sally, Meg, and I went trick or treating together. Sally was in a really bad mood and kept being rude to Meg. I tried to stay neutral the whole time to not hurt anyone’s feelings.

At school on Monday Sally would barely talk to me and still is ignoring me today. When I say hi to her in the hallway she just smiles fakely and looks a different way.

Today I sent her an email asking her what was going on and haven’t gotten a reply yet.

Why is she acting like this? It’s really upsetting me and I feel clueless.

ok i been knowing my best friend since 8th grade and were in the 10th and i never had a problem with her at all and she dated a lot of dudes when we started high school and i never had a problem with it until now because she puts me to the side when he calls or comes over her house or comes up to use in the hallway he’s always around when im around and i never can spend time with her at all when me and her on the phone and he calls she tells me she calls me back see i have a boyfriend to but i dont do that to her i always try to hang with her outside of school sometimes to but she never calls me so we can hang out and im always on the phone with my boyfriend but when she calls when im on the phone or he calls i ALWAYS cal her on three way with me and him when i dont have to she never do that for me im not even trying to sound jealous because im not and this halloween i wanted to double date and go to worlds of fun with her but my boyfriend might not make it because he gotta go help his lil cousin’s trick or treating and i understand that and her boyfriend is going now when like the other day she told me she not bringing him if my boyfriend not coming but she just told me that he going now like he invited himself i dont like that cause now if i go still then ima be by myself looking stupid and im not having that so now i dont know what to do for the holiday i might end up by myself because everybody i know gonna be with there boyfriend but me i feel real left out and i cant go trick or treating with him because its to late to get a costume and i **** lil kids sometimes they be getting on m nerves and now i just dont wanna talk to her no more because she putting me to the side and all and i **** that

I love Halloween and my kids enjoy wearing costumes and trick or treating. What I’m finding more and more difficult the older my kids get is the exposure to all things gory and horrific in the name of Halloween. I’m talking about severed heads dripping blood, creepy life-like witches that cackle or vibrating disembodied arms. Why do we bother shielding our kids from violence in video games or movies when they can see it upon entering any store at this time of year. My daughter is terrified and I don’t blame her. I can’t take her into most grocery or drugstores at this time of year since these creepy items are always displayed right near the front door to “attract” customers. Am I just being over protective here or do any other parents feel this way too?

Ok so my SO got temp visitation that starts this weekend. The bio-mom didn’t show up for court and has failed to see the GAL like she was suppose to do 4 months ago. This is her third shot. When SO told her what happened and he would be there to pick up his daughter she threw a fit. Started yelling and cussing at him and got all hysterical. She yelled for her Mom and they both were nasty to him. She even said she was going to in nastier terms beat my ****. Keep in mind I was in my car parked in the street. Not in her yard or even her driveway. When he left she yelled F-U very loud for the whole neighborhood to hear even though it was later at night. He told her he would be bringing the police if she didn’t comply. So her mom calls him tonight and says what time are you going to pick her up she stated that she hadn’t received the papers yet (like nothing happened they do that all the time). He said at 3pm like the papers say I’m suppose to. She says well we want to take her trick-or-treating can you come at 7:30pm instead he said I let you have her for your halloween party on the day you wanted so this is my day and I want to take her out. Keep in mind friday is like a double do for him because he gets her at 3 for visitation plus even if it wasn’t his visitation day he would still get her from 4-7 because it’s his b-day BM has the same rights on her b-day. She starts going off and says well I tried to compromise like my lawyer (that she doesn’t have) said to but I guess you will just have to call the police. So do you think that since the this is the first weekend that this order was in place he should let her compromise? She has done nothing to compromise with us. She refused to sign the papers and has made him miss every holiday he was suppose to have this year so far. The one holiday he asked for that she let him have she told him he couldn’t get her at 8 like he was suppose to but he could come at noon instead after they got done doing what they wanted to do. So basically she wants everything her way and my SO is suppose to miss every holiday and special event and be ok with it. So what would you do? My SO says that in the future he is willing to compromise but after everything she has done he should at least get this one thing to himself. Chances are she will try to start something when he shows up or she won’t be there at all. Of course we are calling the police to come with just so we can have it documented either way plus they can write a citation to her for violating a court order and the fine is up to $500 in our state. After the 3rd offense it goes up to $2500 and 120 days in jail. Thanks for your help.
The child is under two and will not know if it’s trick-or-treating or not. The mother has had the child for every holiday up to this point.

I love Halloween, but as you can see I LOVE Christmas even more, I love Halloween because of all the candy you get to eat till your belly aces, I don’t do trick or treating I am 20 that means I am wayy too old for that, trick or treaters come to my families door, wer leave the porch light on that means any house with a potch light on is giving away candy, my family NEVER puts poison in the candy, our candy is bought fresh from the store, I love that part of Halloween, but a couple of years ago, I got hit on the side of my head with one of those frozen eggs that you put in the freezer days before Halloween, I am glad I have graduated from high school, and you know how high schools get around Halloween time, I mean the students they get crazy,I am glad I graduated in June of last year, I don’t even consider Halloween a national annual holiday like I do Christmas, Christmas is much better,except for rocks kids and teens put in their snow balls.

the way movies are nowadays, i’m sure that’s not going to be easy to find…so i’ll probably wind up looking for an older movie…say, from the 30’s or 40’s

of course, i don’t think i’d necessarily have to go back that far…but i still might buy a movie or two from that period of time

ok yesterday after school my boyfriend had said to me that my bestfriend was fake and said that she was talkin about him saying that he be treating me wrong and that he only wit me cause i give it up to easy and all that other junk and he said that he told this girl that likes him and the girl came and said all that stuff to him so this morning i wasn’t even going to say anything to my bestfriend cause it didn’t to much get to me at all but i just ended up asking her anyway because she came to my class looking for me to i told her then she said that its not her business to be telling someone stuff about me and my boyfriend and she was saying that my boyfriend when they were in 1st hour and the girl that liked him they was all talking and the girl asked him if he liked me and he just said anyway and cut her off and then my bestfriend asked him wat he was doing for halloween and he is going to help his lil cousins go trick or treating then after that we suppose to go to worlds of fun but it got changed to going to the hunted house wit me and m cousin we suppose to double date and we was gonna go to worlds of fun with my bestfriend but i dont like how her boyfriend keeps her away from me all the time and he is controlling and all and i dont wanna be around it but anyway he told my best friend that he didnt wanna go to worlds of fun and that he ain’t going no where wit me he just want me to think that and that he going to be with his cousins all night and i told m bestfriend that he told me about wat she suppose to be saying and i was gonna call her yesterday and i told him and he said to have him on the phone and all and that made it seem sneaky and all like there something he dont want me to know but now i kknowso i just told one of his friends i just had a class with to tell him to come to my table during lunch so i can confront him about it you think im doing the right thing i dont care if he dont spend that night with me im not forcing anyone to come with me and all so yeah wat would you do about it??

I really need help this situation is so complicated it is really ridiculous, but please stick with me. Let me start at the beginning, i met this girl in pre-school and we were pretty decent friends nothing special. we didn’t end up going to the same elementary school so i didn’t see her again till the sixth grade. i didnt even know it was her till she told me she knew who i was because her friend knew me from an after school program i used to go to before sixth grade. i instantly felt something, but i was young so i dont know if it could be considered real feelings. well nevertheless i liked her. we became good friends, but then sixth grade ended and i didnt hear much from her. i found out she was head over heels for this guy i knew lets call him jim, he was a nice guy so i decided to step aside and not pursue her. well lets fastfoward and now im in eigth grade, and i reconnected with her, she ended up not going out with the jim, but the word around her inner circle was she still had very strong feelings for him, so i was discouraged, but i made sure she and i stayed pretty tight, didnt wanna lose connection with her like i did in seventh grade. well i realized that i really was having true feelings for her and it was hard to accept that she liked jim. to make matters worse one of my really good friends told me he liked her, lets call him bob. well now i had even more of a reason not to pursue her, nothing ever happened between her and bob. well that Halloween me and my two friends scotty and micah went trick or treating with this girl and her friend. micah tells me he likes her, again im just blind sided, he asks me to put a good word in and help him out. i figured i might as well, it wasnt as if she was my property or anything i figured id let her make the call on weather she would go out with him or not. well she did and now they were going out. at the same time my friend scotty started going out with this girls friend. well this is where things get bad, micah gets dumped, then scotty. things were said and i got caught in the middle, and needless to say this girl got really pissed at me, and im not saying im innoccent, i was somewhat siding with my boys micah and scotty on this one. well lets fast foward to the summer before the start of ninth grade. i end up in her PE class for summer school, jim is in the class as well as my good friend chris. i make amends with this girl and we become closer than ever. i ended up telling her i used to like her, and she tells me she used to like me. i was ecstatic i wanted to jump around like a little kid,we actually made a little pact that i would ask her out sometime in the near future, this is where it gets bad, my friend chris tells me he likes her…what am i supposed to do. i step aside, she doesnt know that this happened..well chris was pursuing her, hanging out with her, going to movies and what not. well i decided to be selfish about this and just straight up ask her out(i know its pretty **** considering i knew he liked her). well i didnt get the chance because while i was walking her home this guy ryan had his friends pull her to the side and get her number for him, she seemed pleasantly surprised. she asked if she should go out with him, and i knew by the look in her eyes she was interested, i told her to go ahead. on top of this chris and her get into it and once again i get stuck in the middle. and i just gave up at this point cause she pretty much hated me for siding with him. to be honest she was being a little unreasonable. well now im a junior and i havent said more than two words to her since the ninth grade. i recently found out shes having *** with this guy aaron in the hopes that he’ll like her. and its not the *** that im mad about its just that he knows she has these strong feelings and all he does is use her for a booty call whenever he wants to get some. i really wanted to punch him but the truth is that hes not forcing her to do anything, he may be playing with her emotions but hes not forcing anything on her. well i have tried to get over her by trying to notice other girls but i cant. i dont know if this is love or what, but other girls just pale in comparison to her. but im thinking that if it was meant to be all this stuff wouldnt have happened, obstacle after obstacle. well what im asking is one is this love? i’ve never been in love before so im not sure if this is it. and two if it is love should i pursue her even though this aaron guy has her so hopelessly wrapped around his figure. please help me out and thank you for taking time out of your day to do this.
