Soon to be Ex Husnband stole income tax?

My sister’s husband (they’re separated, she has custody of their 3 girls) convinced her to file their taxes together since they were together most of the year & he always did their taxes. She found out that he got the check back on 2/16 and has been lying to her when she inquires about it. Her share is over 2 grand for federal alone. She has also learned that he has spent all but $700 of it. (He bought a plasma tv & new tempurpedic bed for him & his new girlfriend, among other things.)
No CommentsOh, and she held 3 jobs last year while he worked part time for most of it…..
The man is slime. When he steals from her, he steals from his own kids.
Regardless of the fact that she obviously shouldn’t have filed w/ him (too late now) is there any legal recourse for her? Can she get her money from him through legal channels? Any advice on how she should proceed? Thanks!

but my question is that bilions of dollars are being lost by corporations and consumer, so where is this money going?… in a closed system there can’t be a net loss or gain only a shift in whose holding the money. So who has it now???

Can you believe how cheap gas is right now? ?

It obviously has something to do with the upcoming election but what? Do they think people may not vote because they can’t afford the extra gas to get there so that’s why they lowered it (the Democrats)? Or is to assure us that the economy is doing much better so we vote Repulbican? I’m just angry because it goes to show that gas didn’t have to be so expensive this past year and they (the gas companies) made billions of extra dollars off of us! I think they should give us our money back. I am happy though that gas is so cheap!

If university academics need to study so many years for a Ph.D, why do they earn no more than school teachers?

A Ph.D. takes longer to earn than a MD, a Law degree, and certainly a MBA, yet university professors take home far less money than these professions, why is there this inequity?

How best to advertise my fiction editing business?

I’ve paid about $200 so far for two weeks to place my site on a search engine, but it is just on page 3 and I get no hits. I can’t afford to do more , especially if it costs this kind of money. I am retired and income is the reason I am doing this in the first place. The answers I get are that I have to pay more to get closer to the action. Any help will be appreciated.
